All Things Fall: Styled Shoot

One of the best things about living in the suburbs of a city like Baltimore is that there is a great community of creatives and amazing boutiques. I am fortunate to know some of the coolest women business owners and had a blast coordinating a fun fall photoshoot with all of them.

Bel Air has quaint, small-town charm but the amount of talent blows my mind! We have some of the greatest boutique stylists, a ridiculous amount of photography talent, and world-class MUA and hair stylists. I count myself wildly lucky to know and be friend with these women. It's so cool.

Thanks to the never-ending weather this late summer and fall, we were lucky we got an evening where the sun made an appearance and the weather was in our favor. I admit I was a little worried on the day of the shoot because my baby bump "popped" and I was so concerned with how these outfits would fit with a growing bump, and my confidence in front of the camera was a little sub par.

Krysta, the owner of Revelry Hair Studio, has been open in Bel Air on Bond Street for just over a year and her studio is a dream. It's so welcoming and cozy and she has amazing coworkers and the whole atmosphere is glamourous.

Marissa, the owner of Velvet Trunk in Bel Air, just opened her new location on Main Street and it is a beautiful space filled with gorgeous, cozy, stylish clothes and accessories. I had such a fun time working with her and having her style this shoot. Her outfit pairings are things I wouldn't generally wear together because I'm such a traditionalist! But I adored the warm colors and fall color palette she pulled from to make these outfits stunning.

The real MVP of the night was our incredible photographer who braved not-so-ideal conditions and catered to our ideas and angle suggestions. Ashley took so many incredible shots that I couldn't even decide which was my favorite.

Krysta worked her magic and pulled out all the stops. SHe's a hair genius but what always impresses me the most is her incredible talent with makeup. Her repertoire is extensive and she's done every look imaginable. Check out her Instagram to see all the beautiful hair and makeup looks!

We had every intention of shooting at Broom's Bloom (if you haven't been there... go!) but we were trying to beat the sunset and were quickly running out of time. So we looked around Krysta's salon and decided to use the field behind the studio and then ventured to Bel Air Main Street for some location variety. We even made an appearance at One Eleven Main and they were so welcoming and accommodating! (Don't worry - I didn't drink the martini!)

The first look Marissa assembled was this incredible combo that screams FALL! The floral dress has a beautiful corset back and a fun, flowy feel, where the mustard duster cardigan is what literal dreams are made of (you bet your bottom dollar that I bought it that week and have worn it every day since). A bit skeptical of over-the-knee boots, but I am a convert! These boots were so unbelievably comfortable and that color! WOW!

For fall days when it's chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon, this yellow maxi dress is the best solution. Pair it with cute booties and a jacket and BOOM! Easy breezy outfit. Being 6 months pregnant, this outfit was easily one of the versatile pieces I've ever worn. Throw it on for work, happy hour, or even Sunday brunch! You can't go wrong.

Girl's night, Date night, or a lunch meeting with your boss just got a lot more stylish with this beautiful warm sweater and dusty rose jegging pairing. The belted sweater has delicate pearl detail on the sleeves and the pants couldn't be more perfect. There's no button, instead they lace up, so they are a great solution for postpartum style as you are fluctuating in pants size (Pro Tip: buy your pre-pregnancy size because they're stretchy and the lace-up style makes these pants very forgiving!).

This was such a fun collaboration with some incredible and fun women that are total Boss Babes!

Xoxo
