Finding Your Unicorn
I can't tell you how many times a week I get messages wondering how I "keep it together" or "do it all." And while those words are exactly what this Type 3 needs to hear, I'm here to set the record straight.
There are a lot of days when I can't seem to get any air under my wings. I feel stuck. The never-ending rut of wishing I had more time in my day, I had more money, I had more of anything. It's not about wanting things, but it's about feeling like I lost something.
What that is, I don't always know. And maybe you don't either. But that doesn't mean you can't get it back.
Nothing is More Powerful Than a Woman Whose Time Has Come
Part of finding what you lost is finding what makes you feel powerful, invincible, and strong - aka - your unicorn. According to ancient mythology, unicorns were powerful, unattainable creatures who would do anything to protect the ones they love.
(ps - Moms, we are pretty much all unicorns. Don't let anyone tell you differently)
Discovering What Makes You Feel Powerful
When you feel stuck, or lost, or like your sparkle has dulled, it's important to channel what makes you feel powerful. Is it putting on some red lipstick? Is it getting dressed for the day? Is it crossing things off a list?
Whatever it is, make it your thing. What makes you feel like you could conquer the world. A mentor of mine once told me that before she presents a webinar or online class, she puts on red lipstick and it's like her alter-ego badass self comes onto stage.
That is power. What puts some pep in your step. Or the toss of your hair. What makes you feel as majestic as a unicorn.
But how can you find that?
4 Steps to Finding Your Unicorn
Part of finding what makes you feel powerful is getting to know yourself - what makes you feel like your most fabulous self.
On a blank piece of paper write in bold letters: THESE MAKE ME FEEL POWERFUL
Use a sticky note for each item but write your favorite:

3. Put those sticky notes on your bathroom mirror or in your office space to remind yourself everyday of what makes you, YOU. And whenever you are feeling down in the dumps, look at your list and do it - eat it, watch it, read it, listen to it.
4. Feel powerful and feel as invincible as a darn unicorn.
