My Favorite Summer Beauty Products
Summertime means I change my beauty and makeup routine. I take a less-is-more approach to having a natural glow all summer long.

Must-Have Travel Beauty Products
Car, Plane, Train... A long trip can be both exciting and exhausting. But when you get to your destination, you'll want to look refreshed and ready to hit the ground running. Truthbomb: it's pointless to travel with a full face of makeup. Makeup can dry your skin out and after a long trip, the makeup you applied 2 hours before leaving will leave your face looking dull and tired (and maybe even smudged if you managed to get some sleep!). Keep your makeup light with a tinted

My Love Affair with Micellar Water (and how it kickstarted my skincare routine)
For years, my girlfriends have hounded me about having a less-than-acceptable skincare routine. In fact, I can probably count on one hand how many times I've taken my makeup off before bed in the last year. (I know, this is horrible for your skin). But it changed when I stumbled upon Micellar Water. Because I tend to fall behind on what beauty products are new and amazing, I love getting the Amazon and Target Beauty Boxes. They're always full of trial-sized products that I m

Pregnancy-Safe Beauty Swaps
Pregnancy doesn't always give moms-to-be that coveted glow. In fact, with my first pregnancy, my skin was dull, my hair was limp, and I had stretch marks galore. So far with Baby #2, I've had so many breakouts, waking up everyday to find a new pimple. My hair is greasy and dry at the same time - the kind of hair that looks fine in photos but in person... Oof. I certainly don't have the glow, but I found some skincare products that help. With warmer weather officially here for

The Only Product Your Curls Will Ever Need Again
Every girl with curly hair struggles to find the perfect balance between full, bouncy curls and a frizzy, unmanageable lion's mane. For me, the struggle typically results in my favorite bad-hair-day looks, a sock bun or ponytail and my faded ball cap. I have always preferred the lazy-girl, shower-and-go system when it comes to my hair, especially now that most of my showers get interrupted by my almost-toddler, but my hair always dries frizzy and my curls are limp and lifeles

6 Summer Makeup Must-Haves
I'm with ya - makeup in the summer can be a hassle. From finding the right shade to match your tan to getting your makeup to stay on through sweat and humidity, it is almost not worth it. For years, I stuck with basic mascara and bronzer in the summer for a simple, everyday look. The idea of makeup melting off my face in the Maryland humidity wasn't appealing. For years, I only wore drugstore makeup and it was great - I would go through 4 different foundation shades a year

The Power of a Good Blowout
Until recently, getting a haircut was solely out of necessity: split ends, overgrown layers, and shaggy looking curls. I used basic, cheap hair products and never used a heat protectant when styling my hair. Pretty much, taking care of my hair meant I would have to wake up earlier and put forth any kind of effort. In the past 2-3 years, my hair has undergone slight changes (thanks, hormones...) and there's more of a need to take care of it. I have found ways to maintain wel
